Today I would like to introduce you to Lottie and her four babies. They're only two weeks old, can barely crawl and they love to snuggle, sleep and nurse on tired momma. We are fostering Lottie while she nurses her babies and will keep the babies safe until they're old enough for adoption. I'd keep them all, if I could, but I received a talking-to where I believe the words "crazy cat lady" might have been mentioned but my mind was drifting by then.

| This is Lottie, isn't she a beauty? She's super sweet too. Can you believe someone abandoned her because she was pregnant? But she's fat & happy now. |

These little guys are so incredibly chubby! Can you see the little round bellies? So cute. After a feeding they tend to roll over on their backs, trying to play and get stuck. Then they flop around and can't get back upright easily and mewl in their little baby voices until one of us (or momma) comes to the rescue.

Awww! Kittens!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it when cats do the frog pose like that.
It's hilarious. I've never had a cat do that and makes me laugh every time I see it.
DeleteOh, how sweet! Most of my rescue now is bottle feeding orphaned kittens. You are doing a wonderful thing. Happy Valentine's Day!
ReplyDeleteHaving the momma here makes it so much easier. She does all the work, poor thing :) I can't imagine the work involved with bottle feeding/bottom cleaning!
DeleteAaawwwwwwwsssss all around. They are gorgeous! What a good mama taking care of those chubby little ones. She looks so content too. Loving the frog legs picture of her :)
ReplyDeleteYay for you being a foster mama! That's awesome :)
How adorable. I would want to keep them all as well. Lottie is a really pretty girl. I'm sure her babies will be just as gorgeous. You are so kind to help her, I can't believe some people's attitudes to animals!!
ReplyDeleteThese are beautiful pictures and what beautiful kitties.
ReplyDeleteAwww babies! beautiful.
ReplyDeleteOMG...what amazing cuteness!!! Kittens are the cutest things in the world and mama looks so content now. Hope they are all able to find wonderful loving homes!
ReplyDeleteI look at these pictures, taken only a few days ago, and they look so different already! Their ears are perky, their eyes no longer cloudy and I bet they'll be running around by the weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe hard part will be letting them go to their new homes and hoping those homes will be forever.
She IS a beauty. Mean people! And those kitties are A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E! At least a couple of them look like they might resemble my Arya when they grow up. You are so wonderful for fostering them. I know what you mean about wanting to keep them. It would be hard to resist.
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to resist. If we keep another there will be no more fostering for us though. I'm surprised my husband didn't make my daughter and I sign a contract stating that if we decided to keep one (or two) our fostering days were over ;) He's the voice of reason. Without him I'd likely keep them all.
